About Steve Buzzard

Steve Buzzard is the founder, creator, and director of Buzzardball.

In 1994, Steve created Buzzardball as a small, summertime school program for kids. In 2005, he took over an established winter program from the Jewish Federation. Fast forward and the name "Buzzardball" is now synonymous with one of Sacramento's top  winter/summer, youth basketball programs; hosting some 500 kids in the summer and 800 kids in the winter. Out of this program also came Buzzardball DJ entertainment, which features Steve as a master emcee, DJ, auctioneer. Bringing these businesses to life have enabled Steve to fulfill his passions for people and broadcasting.

Steve just recently retired from his position as teacher and athletic director at St. Michael's to concentrate fully on his entrepreneural endeavors. He was at St. Michael's for 26 years.

Steve grew up in Sacramento and attended Christian Brothers High School. He went on to graduate from USC in 1991 with a degree in broadcast journalism.
